Campbellford, Ontario

Waterway and Alan as we lock thru

"Hero" Captain of Roland and Helene's boat

We had a very restless night in Trenton due to the fact that a search helicopter was flying overhead with spotlight from 3am till daylight. They were looking for someone who had been in a small boat and were missing. I was a little cranky this morning and needed 3 cups instead of my 2 cups of coffee.
We cruised through 12 locks today and are staying the night on the wall in Campbellford. It is nice to find a place that has free wi-fi service. We met a couple from Montreal Helene and Roland who went through all 12 locks with us. We are trying to find a place to get Alan's ontario fishing license so he can fish the rest of the trip here. Helene told him we are expecting fish for dinner tomorrow evening in Peterborough.

I was always told that there was a great restaurant serving roast beef at Hay Bay, never made it though. Maybe the search helicopter was looking for 2 americans that had not checked into customs properly a few days back, and the judge bit was just a hoax.
