Peterborugh to Buckhorn

The first lock of the morning was the awesome Peterborugh. You steer your boat into this pan of water and it lifts this whole thing up and to the top. It was very exciting to watch. We left Peterborugh and headed across a couple of Lakes and several locks to Buckhorn. After a very long day we tied up to the lock wall and Roland and Helene went to a marina. I fixed dinner, called the kids then walked to store for an ice cream. There was a cruise boat tied up on the opposite side of us and after a while we decided we were refreshed and wanted to head on to Bobcaygene which was 18 miles away. It was too noisy on the wall in Buckhorn. So we loaded up and headed out and it was a beautiful cruise across Pelican Lake and the waterway. It was about 7:45pm and it doesn't get dark till about 9:45pm here. We pulled up to Bobcaygene wall and tied up.
