Tarpon Springs

Left Suwanee in the early morning and headed for Cedar Keys. While we were tying up, Captain Doug Maple of Tidewater Tours came up to look at the boat. It seems he just bought the boat "Shorty" from Mike at Three Rivers Marine. It is the 26 foot Cape Cruiser and did the great loop last year.  If you are in Cedar Keys and want a tour off the islands Doug is your man @ tidewatertours.com. We had lunch there and because the winds seemed to be laying down a bit we continued on the Crystal River. Upon entering the channel of Crystal River it seemed like we were in the Keys. Shell islands with Palm Trees. It looked so tropical. We met a really nice young man who went out of his way to help us out. Captain Kyle Messler of Red Hot Fishing Charters showed us where to tie for the night and to walk to West Marine and the grocery store. He seems to have a first class operation, so if you are in the area look him up to go fishing. Redhotfishingcharters.com Stayed at a local county dock for the night and headed out this morning for Tarpon Springs.
